As the restaurant climate in Boulder evolves overtime, we here at Arugula, will evolve along with it. First and foremost we are a neighborhood restaurant that relies on our regulars and locals – thanks to all of you over the years. So starting in mid October, we will offer an expanded menu featuring many of our signature dishes over the past 7+ years as well as some time-honored European Mediterranean and American classic dishes.
We have decided to be very conscious of value, and some items will actually go down in price. This new menu will feature an extensive and good value small plates section, reflecting the desire of many to be able to eat a varied, yet not huge and expensive, meal in the evenings. Also, we will be getting a deep fryer for the first time ever, as we are adding a burger and felt it must have its classic partner, French fries.
This new menu will change seasonally, rather than our current method where the menu changes weekly and ended up being a constantly evolving and occasionally confusing creation. The entire Arugula team is very excited for this change, we want to become your frequent “go-to” restaurant and not just for special events anymore.
Watching our sister restaurant Tangerine’s popularity grow over the past 4 years has also been a consideration in making this change. We wish for Arugula to be as accessible, casual, comforting and bustling as Tangerine!
Join us in October to sample and celebrate Arugula’s evolution. And please if you enjoy it, spread the word, as publicizing this may be our larger hurdle in this transition.
Since many have asked to see this menu, here is a sneak peak. It’s not final yet…
Thank you and Buon Appetito, Buen Provecho, Enjoy/Bless Your Meal – Chef/Proprietor Alec Schuler.
