This fall we will explore the fabulous wines of Veneto, one of Italy’s most important wine districts and home to the Valpolicella and the adjacent Soave region. In fact, “Val polis cellae” means, “the valley of many cellars.” We will take you on a great tasting tour of 5 different producers in the area, starting just east of Valpolicella and continuing our way through the unique wines of this highly productive wine region. The tour starts just east of Valpolicella with a classic crisp Soave, then a young fresh typical Valpolicella, a rich Ripasso, a big single vineyard Amarone and finishing again in Soave with a Recioto sweet wine.
Chefs Alec Schuler and Sven Hedenas are using their favorite farm ingredients to create a brilliant 5-course menu that will highlight the flavors of fall and pair seamlessly with the wonderful spice notes of each wine. Wine guru David Ulfers of Breakthru Beverage will share his expertise of Valpolicella, Soave and the production of these well-respected wines.
$50/person for the 5 course meal, $29/person for the paired wines. Reservations required, please call 303.443.5100.
